Provide input on recommended alternatives to improve Indian River Road between South Military Highway and Indian Lakes Boulevard in Virginia Beach. Your feedback will help local leaders determine whether to pursue future funding opportunities.
Project Pipeline is a performance-based planning program to identify cost-effective solutions to multimodal transportation needs in Virginia. Through this planning process, projects and solutions may be considered for funding through programs, including SMART SCALE, revenue sharing, interstate funding and others.

Background
The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the Indian River Road corridor between South Military Highway and Indian Lakes Boulevard in the city of Virginia Beach. This study will focus on improving roadway and pedestrian safety, mitigating congestion, multimodal accessibility/connectivity (bicycle, pedestrian and transit), and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) needs. The project recommendations that come from this study could be developed into funding applications for VDOT's SMART SCALE program and other transportation funding programs.
This Phase 2 survey is intended to obtain public input on the alternatives under consideration to address the issues that were identified by the study team.
