Background

Centerville Road is a growing area. The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the Centerville Road corridor between Richmond Road (Route 60) and Longhill Road, and the Richmond Road (Route 60) corridor between Lightfoot Road (Route 646) and the Humelsine Parkway (Route 199) westbound ramps in James City County. These areas currently face concerns over safety, congestion, and have limited options for pedestrians and cyclists. This study will look for ways to extend the functionality of the roadway. The project recommendations that come from this study will be developed into funding applications for VDOT's SMART SCALE program and other transportation funding programs.

This Phase 2 survey is intended to obtain public input on the alternatives under consideration to address the issues that were identified by the study team.

Study Location

The study area includes Centerville Road from Longhill Road to Richmond Road, and Richmond Road between Lightfoot Road and the Humelsine Parkway ramps.
