CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

The I-15 Springville to Spanish Fork Improved project has expanded from frontage road relocations and interchange ramps to construction on Dry Creek Parkway (1600 S / 2700 N).

Increased noise and vibration can be expected beginning Dec. 9, 2024, as the project begins preparation wok for the futue bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Sharp Line. This work will include pile driving of steel beams near the UPRR Sharp Line at approximately 1600 W adjacent to Dry Creek Parkway. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Throughout the construction, the public can expect:

• Work: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. (weekend and night work as needed)
• Increased noise and vibration Dec. 9 - mid-January
• Road closures and lane shifts
• Increased noise and vibrations
• Minor utility impacts and service disruptions​
• Construction will pause in observance of the holidays Dec. 24 - Jan. 2

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is constructing a new I-15 Interchange at 1600 S /2700 N and widening the road from Main Street in Spanish Fork to the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Tintic Line in Springville. Construction is anticipated to be completed by late 2026 and will include: 

• New I-15 interchange
• Road widened to two lanes in both directions from Main Street in Spanish Fork to the UPRR Tintic Line in Springville
• Shared-use path on the north side of the widened road
• Bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad UPRR Sharp Line 
• Noise wall from approximately 1120 W to 950 W
• Utility relocations east of the UPRR Tintic Line

1600 S / 2700 N GETS RENAMED

To create continuity through cities and enhance wayfinding, 1600 S / 2700 N between Main Street in Spanish Fork and State Route 51 in Springville will now be known as Dry Creek Parkway. Roadway signage with the new name will be installed in late 2026.
