We have released the Alternatives and Development Screening Report for the I-15 Spanish Fork Interchange Study! 

After screening several concepts, we have determined that an I-15 interchange at Center Street will be considered as an “alternative,” or a design different from the current infrastructure layout, for further evaluation in the environmental assessment (EA)!

UDOT Study Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is initiating an Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate a potential new interchange on Interstate 15 (I-15) in southwest Spanish Fork in Utah County. 

The study area for the EA includes I-15 between the Main Street Interchange to the north (Exit 257 A-B) and the Benjamin interchange to the south (Exit 253); the area west of I-15, and east of I-15 along Center Street and surrounding roads.

These limits are general and are not intended to constrain the EA and possible solutions. East/west limits depend on potential interchange locations identified in the scoping phase.

UTA Study Overview

While UDOT prepares an EA, the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) will conduct the South Utah Valley Transit Study to evaluate options for expanding FrontRunner transit service in the southern portion of Utah County, which includes Spanish Fork.

The UDOT study and the UTA study are being conducted independently of each other, but both agencies will be collaborating throughout the study process to inform each agency's respective decision-making process.
