This STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study  will evaluate multi-modal transportation needs on the Iron Bridge Road (VA 10) corridor from Burnt Oak Drive to Whitepine Road and provide a cohesive suite of transportation improvement recommendations to address those needs. The study will focus on identifying medium and long-range improvement recommendations that meet readiness requirements for the state’s competitive funding programs. Some of the major focus areas will be safety for pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic, operational improvements, and transit needs.

This is a planning level study. The proposed roadway modification in this survey are not final and have not received funding for construction. Construction costs are represented relatively at a planning level on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 (shown as ‘$’) indicating a low cost and 5 (shown as ‘$$$$$’) indicating a high cost.
