Coastal Corridors Study
Coastal Corridors Study
DelDOT and its partners initiated the Coastal Corridors Study in 2019 to:
assess the current and anticipated transportation conditions along east-west routes in the northern part of Sussex County between the Maryland line and SR 1, with a focus on SR 16 and SR 404 / US 9 between (shown in purple on the the map); and
identify needs and opportunities to continue providing a safe, multi-modal transportation system that meets the travel demands of today and is positioned to meet those of the future.
The initial Coastal Corridors subregional study was completed in 2024. Several study recommendations are moving forward. See the Related Projects tab.
This survey will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete. Your input will help us understand community priorities associated with planning for transportation improvements in and around the Coastal Corridor study area, including SR 16, US 9, and SR 24 corridors. Please refer to the 2025 Public Workshop tab for materials presented.
The survey will be open from December 2, 2025 to January 9, 2026.
