The Pottstown Community Preservation Plan goal is to identify what the community values and hopes to achieve for Pottstown. The Town of Huntersville has enlisted the consulting firm, Neighboring Concepts to assist with this project. As described by Neighboring Concepts, "We help communities design their own future." They will develop the plan of action to fulfill the community’s intentions. At this kickoff meeting, we will discuss the future of the Pottstown Community and how we can preserve what makes it special! This open meeting will provide an opportunity for everyone in the community to share their thoughts, priorities, and ideas for addressing challenges and embracing opportunities. Your voice is essential in this process—let’s work together to shape a plan that reflects your shared vision!

Board Considers Adoption of Pottstown Community Preservation Plan
The Town Board of Commissioners will consider the adoption of Pottstown Community Preservation Plan.
Public Hearing
The Pottstown Community Preservation Plan’s purpose was to identify what the community values and hopes to achieve for Pottstown. The Town of Huntersville has enlisted the consulting firm, Neighboring Concepts to assist with this project. Neighboring Concepts has worked with the community since December 2024 to co-create this plan. The plan will be brought to the Town Board of Commissioners for review. It will emphasize sustainability, long-term stewardship, and actionable steps for the community, the Town, and partners to bring the plan to life.
A public hearing will be held in person at Town Hall located at 101 Huntersville-Concord Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. The public is invited to attend and comment during the public hearing for this request. The meeting will be livestreamed for those who would like to listen only on YouTube at UserID: @townofhuntersvillenc28078

The Pottstown Community Preservation Plan goal is to identify what the community values and hopes to achieve for Pottstown.

- Highlights from each phase of community engagement
- A chance to give feedback before presentation to Town Board of Commissioners

This is a space to learn, ask questions, and begin shaping a preservation plan that fits the community.

This community cookout is focused on showcasing what we have accomplished so far. Let’s discuss the preliminary concepts for the Preservation Plan strategies and weigh in on which options to carry forward into our evaluation phase.
Grab a plate, sit down and see what we have co-created. Your input is helping to shape the roadmap for the Pottstown Community Preservation Plan.
There will also be an update on the Town's grant application to fund the Church Street Extension & Downtown Connections project (which includes sidewalks on Dellwood Drive, Central Avenue, and Holbrooks Road).

One-on-one sessions
We are in our listening and understanding phase of the project. So far, we have heard what you cherish about Pottstown and what preservation means to you. You also shared ways you would like to meet with our team—on the weekends through meaningful conversations. This is a chance to hear from community organizations (churches, groups operating in the area, community organizations, and others). Neighboring Concepts will be reaching out to set up these meetings. We want to hear your thoughts on honoring history and culture, community engagement and support, preservation and development, faith and social impact, and vision for the future.
