King Mill Pike STARS Study Alternatives
This STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study assesses safety, traffic conditions, and multimodal access on King Mill Pike from Valley Drive to Old Airport Road and on Old Airport Road from King Mill Pike to Bonham Road. The goal of the study is to identify and propose improvements that can be incorporated into the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Six-Year Improvement Plan (SYIP). The purpose of the survey is to seek the public’s input on the alternatives under consideration that improve safety and traffic operations.
The figures below illustrate the improvements under consideration, developed by the study team, based on a review of existing safety and traffic conditions.
