Rt. 17 & Main Street Bicyclist and Ped. Improvements
This project would improve bicyclist and pedestrian facilities at several locations along Route 17 Business (Main Street) in Gloucester County, and on Route 17 near the Fox Mill Centre shopping center area.
Improvements include:
- A 10-foot-wide shared use path along the southbound lanes of Route 17 Business (Main Street) between T.C. Walker Road and Route 17.
- Pedestrian crossing signal equipment added at the southernmost intersection of Main Street and Route 17.
- New section of 5-foot-wide sidewalk would be installed along the frontage of the Fox Mill shopping center, over a distance of 0.18 miles, to close a gap in the existing sidewalk network on Route 17.

A design public hearing has been scheduled for this project:

*In the event of inclement weather, the hearing will be rescheduled to be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the same time and at the same location.
The meeting will be held in an open house format. Stop by anytime between 4-6 p.m. to review materials and ask questions.
