March 2025 TAS
Below are Q&A's from the session above.
Q: Are the Buckland and Kotzebue airport projects scheduled for April dependent on FAA grant award?
A: The intent is to advertise both projects in April and seek FAA grants after the bid openings.
Q: Is the value on the Dalton Hwy 90-104 correct? Seems there is a discrepancy compared to the TAS online
A: Thank you, we updated the TAS and the price range is now correct.
Q: Question: When is the Sterling highway 157-169 project advertise date going to be adjusted on the TAS? It has been shown as pushing to late 25-26 since February on the confidence.
A: This project will need to move out in the TAS but it's hard to estimate how long ongoing utility coordination will take. We are continuing to work with the utility companies and should have an update to the TAS out soon. More information can be provided at our next update.
Q: It looks like some jobs have preliminary plans attached and some don't. Can the DOT issue preliminary plans with each tentative project.
A: We try to post latest level of plans for every project in the TAS. We will pass the request along to our staff.
Q: Could Kokhanok Airport Resurfacing and Fencing project be accelerated if the state self-funds before the grant is received? All green boxes except funding. who makes that decision?
A: Yes, Kokhanok Airport Resurfacing and Fencing will be ready to advertise in June and could be accelerated at that point. While the information from FAA is encouraging, there are still details to work through, so we’ll keep you updated on the determination process.
