We are in the schematic design phase of planning the Neuse River Park. In this phase, the design team takes the approved master plan and begins shaping the park’s layout, amenities, river access, trails, nature play elements, and gathering spaces.

Soon, Raleigh Parks will share the draft schematic design both in person and online. Details about the in-person event are provided below. If you cannot attend, the same materials will be available online from December 16–29, along with a survey to collect your feedback.

Next steps: Community feedback will finalize the schematic design. We will then develop detailed cost estimates and identify what will be included in Phase One. We plan to share updates with the CAG in February and bring the final Phase One plan to the April Parks Committee.
