The King County Flood Control District and King County, as service provider, are updating flood maps for Newaukum Creek. Flood risks change over time. Development, changing weather patterns, and other shifts in the landscape can change flood risks. New maps will better represent flood risk to people and property along the along the creek.  

For more information, please join one of our upcoming community meetings. If you need an interpreter to participate, please let us know ten days before the event.

  • In-person community meeting: 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Enumclaw Library (1700 1st St., Enumclaw, WA 98022). Register for the meeting.
  • Online community meeting: 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, on Zoom. Register for the meeting.

Explore this online hub to view updated flood maps and to learn how flood risk may have changed for your property. You can also view print copies of the draft report and flood maps at the Enumclaw library (1700 1st St., Enumclaw, WA 98022) starting April, 27.

After the in-person community meeting on May 19, a copy of the presentation will be posted on this site, and a 45-day public comment period will open. The comment submission form in the “Public Comment” tab will be open on May 19 and close at 5 p.m. on July 3, 2026.
