October 25, 2023 at 2 pm - Stakeholder Steering Committee Meeting #1

Fresno COG will host the first Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) Stakeholder Steering Committee meeting at 2 pm on October 25, 2023 via Zoom.

The committee was introduced to the plan requirements, planning process, timeline, and deliverables,  They will discuss public outreach, possible plan priorities and more. See the meetings tab for more information.

November PCAP Priority Measure and Outreach Development

In November Fresno COG's consultant will be analyzing the possible emissions reductions measures that could be included in the PCAP. During that time Fresno COG staff will be preparing outreach materials and scheduling December Zoom and In-person public meetings to discuss the PCAP process and community priorities. Online and hard copy surveys and education materials will also be drafted.

December Community Outreach

Throughout the first have of December community outreach will take place. Fresno COG has scheduled virtual and in-person meetings, and will release an online survey (or hard copy if needed) in English and Spanish prior to December 1st. Go to the Get Involved tab for details. 

January 10, 2024 - Stakeholder Steering Committee #2

The PCAP Stakeholder Steering Committee will hold their second meeting January 10, 2024, to review all input received as a result of public outreach regarding community priorities, and all consultant and staff work completed. The agenda and meeting materials will available about one week prior to the meeting under the Meetings tab.

February 2024 - Committee and Board Review and Approval

The Draft PCAP is available for review. During the month of February 2024 it will be presented to Fresno COG's standing committees, the Transportation Technical Committee (TTC) and the Policy Advisory Committee (PAC). Their recommendations will go forward to the Fresno COG Policy Board for plan approval. The agendas and meeting materials will available about one week prior to the meeting under the Meetings tab.

March 1, 2024 - Approved PCAP Submitted to EPA

Fresno COG is required to submit the approved PCAP to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by March 1, 2024. Then work will begin on the Comprehensive Climate Action Plan! Stay tuned...
