Proposed Petrovitsky Park Disc Golf Course
Proposed Petrovitsky Park Disc Golf Course
Project Background
King County Parks is exploring a project proposed by Northwest Disc Golf Association for an 18-hole backcountry style disc golf course in the forested area of Petrovitsky Park (the shaded area shown on the map below.)
A backcountry disc golf course involves inserting disc golf baskets among the trees, so this area of the park would stay a forest while providing an additional recreational opportunity for the community.
At this stage in the project, King County Parks is evaluating the opinion of the surrounding community on this proposal. If the proposal is approved, the next phase of engagement would involve environmental analysis and gathering feedback from the community to determine specific design options.
Share your thoughts by taking a short, 5 question survey by November 22. The results will be used to determine if this proposal moves forward or not.
