I-26 Connector Project Aesthetics Committee

I-26 Connector Project Aesthetics Committee

Effective October 14, 2025 the I-26 Aesthetics Committee has been dissolved per Resolution 25-230. The Committee, the City of Asheville, and NCDOT have adopted the recommendations for aesthetics to the new bridge as part of the I-26 Connector Project. If you have any questions about the board, its work, or next steps for the project please reach out to Jessica Morris at jmorriss@ashevillenc.gov.

The I-26 Connector Project Aesthetics Advisory Committee is an ad hoc committee to gather information and ideas about aesthetics to make the I-26 Connector project a cohesive and integrated part of Asheville.  The Committee is holding a series of public meetings as needed for the purpose of reviewing information and providing advice to NCDOT and the City of Asheville about aesthetic improvements that may make the new bridge over Patton Avenue west of the River more appealing, particularly to pedestrians and bicyclists.  Click here for for additional information.

There are currently no upcoming meetings for this committee.
