Background

The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the U.S. Route 301 (Chamberlayne Road) corridor between Azelea Avenue and I-95 within Henrico County. This study will focus on improving roadway safety, reducing traffic congestion, and enhancing multimodal accessibility/connectivity (pedestrian, bicyclist, and transit) needs.

This Phase 2 survey is intended to obtain public input on the alternatives under consideration to address the issues that were identified by the study team and through the Phase 1 survey that was conducted in August 2023. In general, most of the respondents to the Phase 1 survey identified the need to improve pedestrian facilities, transit facilities, and bicycle accessibility.
