Route 642 (Bell Creek Road) - Hanover County

The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety and operational issues and develop solutions along Route 642 (Bell Creek Road) from Route 360 (Mechanicsville Turnpike) to Cold Harbor Road. There were two (2) severe injury crashes on this segment between 2019 and 2024. This segment includes identified VTrans needs and four (4) Potential for Safety Improvement (PSI) locations.

Project Pipeline is a performance-based planning program to identify cost-effective solutions to multimodal transportation needs in Virginia. Through this planning process, projects and solutions may be considered for funding through programs, including SMART SCALE, revenue sharing, interstate funding and others.
