This STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study assesses potential operational and safety improvements for the Route 30 (King William Avenue) corridor from Mount Olive Cohoke Road to Route 33. The goal of this study will be to develop a series of solutions to address arterial congestion and safety concerns along the subject corridor. This stretch of Route 30 was identified as a potential study corridor in the STARS program with a maximum Potential Safety Improvement (PSI) ranked #41 in the VTrans 2023 District Priority Needs, with safety deficiencies at the Route 33 intersection.
