Route 608 (West Catharpin Road) Culvert Installation Spotsylvania County
Route 608 (West Catharpin Road) Culvert Installation Spotsylvania County
Project Overview
The proposed project plans to install a culvert on Route 608 (West Catharpin Road) over Catharpin Run in Spotsylvania County. The culvert will improve the condition of the drainage facilities.
On West Catharpin Road, the existing triple corrugated metal drainage pipes underneath the road at Catharpin Run will be removed. The project will replace the pipes with a concrete triple box culvert with wing walls. The new culvert will measure 10 feet wide, 6 feet high, and 35 feet long. During construction, West Catharpin Road would be closed at Catharpin Run and traffic would be detoured for an estimated 10 months. The detour would add approximately 12 minutes of travel time for motorists driving its full length.
