Welcome to the Virtual Community Ideas Exchange Workshop

Join us for a hands-on, interactive conversation about a range of topics important to growing the City of Homewood for years to come. Community input at the virtual workshop will help identify, describe, and prioritize important topics for the new comprehensive plan.  This is one of several chances this year to influence preferred types, patterns, locations, and intensities of development in Homewood, and help shape the city’s timing and prioritizes for providing the infrastructure needed to support it.

The information collected from the virtual workshop will be combined with the input we received during the in-person version of the event held on January 29, 2026, in the Homewood Senior Center.

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

The Connect Homewood Comprehensive Plan establishes goals and policies to strategically accommodate future growth and change while preserving and enhancing the qualities and characteristics that make the city a highly-desirable place to live, work, learn, and play.  Goals and policies in the document are designed to enhance Homewood’s neighborhoods, districts, and downtown with an attractive mix of uses and amenities that expand the local economy, enhance social interaction, protect environmental resources, and improve the overall quality-of-life for residents.  Recommendations in the new document will be used to evaluate future development applications presented to the city for decision.
