Background

The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the Prices Fork Road (Route 412/685) corridor in the Town of Blacksburg and Montgomery County from McCoy Road to North Main Street. This study will focus on improving roadway and pedestrian safety, multimodal accessibility/connectivity (bicyclist, pedestrian, and transit), and Transportation Demand Management (TDM). The project recommendations that come from this study will be developed into funding applications for VDOT's SMART SCALE program and other transportation funding programs. Improvements along Prices Fork Road at the Route 460 Bypass interchange were evaluated as a part of a previous study and are not a focus of this study effort.

This Phase 2 survey is intended to obtain public input on the alternatives under consideration to address the issues that were identified by the study team.
