South Interceptor Rehabilitation Project

South Interceptor Rehabilitation Project

A new King County project is coming to your neighborhood.

We want to hear from you! Take a survey to help us prepare for this project.

King County needs to repair about one-third of a mile of sewer pipes and seven maintenance holes in Renton. The pipes to be repaired are part of our South Interceptor. These pipes are old and repairing them will keep your sewer service reliable for decades to come.

Right now, the project is in the early design stage. We expect to complete design in early 2028, with construction starting shortly after.

Before we begin designing the project, we would like to learn a bit more about you and the community so we can best meet your needs during this project. Please fill out this survey below by January 8, 2027. It should only take you a few minutes.

One of King County’s goals is to help communities thrive. We do this by supporting neighborhoods across a range of areas. Please mark (✔) the three (3) most important areas for you and your community.
