The purpose of this STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study is to assess safety, operational, and mobility conditions along Route 52 (4th Street) from the I-81/Route 52 interchange to the Route 52/US-11 intersection. A key outcome of the study is to identify and propose improvements that can be incorporated into the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Six-Year Improvement Plan (SYIP). This survey is to seek public input on the alternatives under consideration that are intended to improve both safety conditions and traffic operations.
