Raleigh ADU Study: Designer/Builder Survey
Raleigh ADU Study: Designer/Builder Survey
WakeUp Wake County and Raleigh Forward, two local nonprofits, are gathering community input to understand experiences and perspectives on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in Raleigh.
For this study, an ADU is defined as a smaller, self-contained home on the same lot as a primary residence, with its own kitchen, bathroom, and living space.
This survey is for designers, builders, and design-build firms with experience or interest in ADUs. Your perspective will help us better understand how ADUs are being delivered in practice — including what works well, what challenges exist, and what changes would make the process easier for both professionals and homeowners.
If you:
Own an ADU, take the Owner Survey.
Live or have lived in an ADU, take the Occupant Survey.
Live near an ADU, take the Neighbor Survey.
Do not own, rent, or live near an ADU, take the General Survey.
Thank you for contributing your expertise to this important community conversation.
