King County’s Vision for Clean Water

Welcome to King County’s Vision for Clean Water Online Open House!

King County’s wastewater treatment system protects public health and the environment by collecting and cleaning wastewater for over two million people. Our wastewater system is at a critical moment in time. Our population is growing, and our climate is changing. We need to ensure our system can protect water quality for decades to come—now, and for future generations.

We are updating our regional wastewater plan to meet the challenges ahead and to make investments in the communities we serve. To guide the regional wastewater plan for future generations, we are developing a Vision for Clean Water (Vision) to determine where we want our regional wastewater system to be by the year 2100.

Vision for Clean Water is an opportunity to think creatively about the future and imagine what’s possible for future generations. Your input is critical because wastewater treatment directly impacts your community’s health, environment, and the activities we love like swimming, boating, and fishing.

Join us to develop a Vision that will guide our work over the next 75 years.
