East Charlotte Park

East Charlotte Park

Welcome to the future East Charlotte Park!

We are excited to share the vision for a future public park on a beautiful 27-acre wooded property located along East W.T. Harris Boulevard, nestled between the Farm Pond and Hickory Ridge neighborhoods in Mecklenburg County.

The preferred concept alternative was driven by several community engagement opportunities in collaboration with Mecklenburg County and Partners for Parks. Thank you for your participation in generating a vision for this neighborhood amenity!

This vision plan, guided by your input, aims to transform the space into a vibrant, welcoming park for all to enjoy.

We anticipate the construction of the Phase 1 park activation to start in the Summer of 2027.  This may include parking, trails, picnic sites, and a multipurpose lawn area.  Phase 2 development of East Charlotte Park is funded in CIP FY 2030.  The vision plan will be used to garner funding through grants and additional public and private partnerships.
