WHAT IS YOUR DAILY JOURNEY?
AMATS is running a survey called Your Daily Journey: Anchorage-Chugiak/Eagle River Travel Habits Survey. This survey will help us learn more about how people in Anchorage and the Chugiak-Eagle River areas get around (see Project Area Map). Thousands of randomly chosen residents in these areas will be invited to take part in this voluntary survey.
Did you receive an invitation? We want to hear about your daily travel! How do you get around? How far do you go? How much does it cost? The purpose of the study is to:
- Understand how people in the area travel and their daily routines.
- Gather information to help plan future transportation projects.
- Improve our travel demand model, which helps predict future transportation needs.
Your participation is very important! By taking the survey, you’ll help us see how roads, public transportation, bike lanes, and sidewalks are used today and how they can be improved. Your input will help answer big questions about how to keep transportation smooth, safe, and connected as the population grows and travel needs change. The information we collect will be key to planning better transportation for the future.
