The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) has released the draft Long Range Transportation Plan 2050 for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region and the related Transportation Air Conformity Statement for public review.
This plan sets transportation priorities and a long-term direction for the nine-county region. It will guide how federal, state, and local funding decisions are made over the next 25 years.
The draft plan is based on an evaluation of today’s transportation system, future needs and opportunities, and input from communities across the region. It includes recommended actions, expected funding, and ways to measure progress over time.
The draft Transportation Conformity Statement shows that planned transportation projects are not expected to worsen regional air quality. It is also available for public review and comment.

The public comment period is open through May 12, 2026. After the review period, the GTC Planning Committee will make a recommendation to the GTC Board. The Board is expected to consider adoption of the plan at its June 11, 2026 meeting.
