The Chatham County Resilience Roadmap is a community-driven effort that will shape how the County prepares for and responds to its biggest challenges. It will build on work already underway, uncover gaps, and identify priority initiatives to make Chatham County safer, stronger, and more equitable for everyone.

Chatham County is developing a comprehensive, community-focused Energy Plan to guide the County toward a sustainable energy future. This plan will help provide a clear roadmap for reducing energy consumption, promoting renewable energy, and advancing clean energy initiatives across the County. Chatham's Energy Plan will be shaped by the priorities of local residents, stakeholders, and community organizations, ensuring that it reflects the needs and goals of our community. By identifying actionable strategies and setting measurable targets, the plan will position Chatham County as a leader in clean energy and sustainability.

Chatham County's Electric Vehicle Planning project will analyze and identify areas throughout the County most in need of EV charging infrastructure, to include high-density workforce nodes, hurricane evacuation routes, medical facilities, and low-income communities. The expansion of EV infrastructure will allow for the growth of a critical infrastructure system in a populous area where it is currently lacking. The development and implementation of EV infrastructure and the training needed to handle these systems will play a crucial role in advancing Chatham County and the State's economic and community development initiatives.  

Chatham Commissioner Patrick Farrell from the 4th District is asking for community input on the rules and regulations regarding private docks in the state of Georgia.

The following activities were carried out: The acquisition of a 30.77-acre property located within the City of Savannah at 1380 Chatham Parkway. Purchased with offset funds from America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.The design, engineering, construction, site work, and parking associated with the completion of construction of a 98,000-square-foot storage center and 53,907-square-foot service center (called the HUB) to be used by America's Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, a renowned not-for-profit food bank, which serves as a food safety net for vulnerable populations on the Georgia coast threatened by food insecurity.The purchase of an 11,463-square-foot freezer used at the storage center facility and a 525-square-foot freezer used at the HUB.
