Which strategies, if any, do you support for incentivizing the protection of natural resources in Crozet? Select all that apply.
The street lights on Culebra are awful. It makes it difficult to see people crossing, especially since pedestrians rarely use the crosswalks. Late at night, you can hear cars racing up and down the street. I live 3 streets in off Culebra and I can still hear it. There needs to be more patrols to catch the speeders/racers on that road.
I bike very frequently on Culebra Rd. Even with bike lanes drivers are a huge hazard. Plus, the bike lanes get full of debris, and it forces cyclists to ride closer to the road. This plays a big part in every cyclist safety.
Heavy intervention with turn lanes, buses and padistrians crossing, and speading traffic in peek driving times is an issue.
Also lack of visible painted street lanes, I no longer drive thru this intersection because if the speeds and issues , not to mention the horrible accident a few months ago where a woman was killed due to a high speed driver ran the light driving east on Culebra rd.
Are there other significant landscape features or natural resources that are important to protect? Please indicate these location(s) on this map.

Support students walking to school and make a community push in certain areas to do so instead of parents driving every day (when we return to a post-COVID world). Population and consumption affect the environment. analyze population density and restrict new builds as needed.
Yes! Stop clearing trees and building houses. Just stop with the building. In fact, maybe take some new houses out and plant trees. Add bike lanes, maybe, but no more houses.
Finishing Western Park at Old Trail will offer a variety of outdoor opportunities for families in the neighborhood and encourage more play outside along with enjoying nature.
