Riding Forward: Rooted and Rising South Metro Plan

Riding Forward: Rooted and Rising South Metro Plan

Planning new trails and bike routes across South Metro to improve accessibility, connect communities, support local businesses, and give people more ways to get around.

About

About This Plan:

The South Metro Trail & Bicycle Network Plan will help plan better trails and bike routes across South Metro Atlanta. The plan will find ways to connect neighborhoods and important places, making it easier and safer to get around. Local communities will help shape the plan and future projects.

Why It Matters:

  • Connecting people to important places like neighborhoods, parks, schools, and jobs.
  • Helping folks get around by walking, biking, or rolling.
  • Supporting local communities by improving access to trails, local businesses, and outdoor spaces.

Three-Phase Engagement Process

Phase 1: Listen and Understand
Understand community vision, goals, values, experiences, and needs before developing potential alternatives.

Phase 2: Explore and Refine
Develop potential design and network alternatives and return to the community for feedback.

Phase 3: Finalize the Plans
Use community feedback to refine and finalize the plans and share the results.
