Riding Forward: One Region, Connected Trail & Bicycle Facilities Network Plan
Riding Forward: One Region, Connected Trail & Bicycle Facilities Network Plan
Creating a long-term plan for trails, bike routes, and other ways to get around without a car across metro Atlanta.
About This Plan:
The Riding Forward Regional Trail & Bicycle Network Plan will help plan trails and bike routes across metro Atlanta. The plan will find places where new connections are needed and make it safer and easier to walk, bike, and roll. Your ideas will help decide what is most important and how to better connect people to jobs, schools, parks, neighborhoods, and transit.
Why It Matters:
A better trail and bike network can:
- Make it easier to get where you need to go
- Give people more safe ways to walk, bike, and roll
- Help guide future investments across the Metro Atlanta region
Three-Phase Engagement Process
Phase 1: Listen and Understand
Understand community vision, goals, values, experiences, and needs before developing potential alternatives.
Phase 2: Explore and Refine
Develop potential design and network alternatives and return to the community for feedback.
Phase 3: Finalize the Plans
Use community feedback to refine and finalize the plans and share the results.
