The Public Launch kicked off a series of in-person and online public engagement opportunities. Throughout May and June, the project team hosted pop-up meetings throughout the city to gather input. These pop-up meetings were opportunities for residents to stop by and talk with the project team about the Imagine Rocky Mount purpose and process, as well as provide valuable feedback on their city and neighborhoods now and in the future. The project team also conducted a series of community presentations to neighborhood and community organizations throughout Rocky Mount. These community presentations were intended to share information about Imagine Rocky Mount and gather input from the residents in attendance.

The Public Launch culminated in a series of Vision Workshops held in late June. The Vision Workshops were large, city-wide events intended to respond to the input received during the public launch and begin establishing themes and goals for Imagine Rocky Mount to address. Vision Workshop attendees were presented with findings to date and had the opportunity to confirm and validate the shared needs and priorities that will drive the Vision development. Attendees participated in a series of collaborative exercises to create the themes and goals that will guide Imagine Rocky Mount in meeting the current and future needs of Rocky Mount's residents.

All Public Launch meetings have been completed. However, engagement for Imagine Rocky Mount will continue throughout each phase of the project. As we look forward, we would like for you to share with us who we should engage with during the next phase.

As Imagine Rocky Mount enters its second phase, the project team is consolidating all input from the Public Launch, identifying common themes and values, crafting a preliminary Vision Statement, and identifying Areas of Opportunity. Additional public engagement opportunities will be available to share and confirm these findings. Stay tuned for these and more opportunities to help us Imagine Rocky Mount!
