Background

TradePort California will create a primary shipping and distribution hub for goods going to and from the Central Valley. We are working to identify a location that will provide support for rail and clean truck technology, improve capacity, emissions, and growth while balancing the needs of the community.  
 
There are seven possible sites Fresno COG has identified, based on the following criteria : 
  • Is the site ready for development?
  • Is it located near major roadways and railroads?
  • Is it available, large enough, and zoned “industrial”?
  • Is it going to impact schools, community centers, and neighborhoods? 
  • Is it safe from natural disasters and away from protected lands?
