PROJECT UPDATES
Construction Activities November 13-30
Ongoing Activities
700 West to 900 West
On Thursday, November 14 starting at 4:00 a.m., concrete will be placed for the center section of the bridge over the Jordan River. Area residents may experience additional early morning construction related noise. Traffic has been shifted to the outside lanes over the Jordan River.
900 West to Redwood Road
On Thursday, November 14 starting at 10:00 p.m., the signals at 9000 South Redwood Road will be turned off as signal wiring continues for the new planned traffic signals. Police officers will be directing traffic through 3:00 a.m.
Signal work for 1510 West has been postponed.
As early as Thursday, November 14, the 9000 South access to the West Jordan Gateway Office Park (1227 & 1231 West) will be closed while the driveway access and adjacent sidewalk are rebuilt. This closure will last up to 10 days while the concrete cures.
- Access to the business park will be maintained from 1300 West - see the detour map below.
Sidewalk replacement continues on the south side of 9000 South with crews starting near 900 West and working west. As crews replace individual driveway approaches and attached sidewalks, properties with more than one access will have one access closed while the other access is left open. Properties with only one access will be coordinated with the project team.
Crews continue installing new traffic signal poles and street lighting conduit.
*Schedule is subject to change due to weather, equipment, or material delays.

Closures
Eastbound 9000 South left turn closed at 700 West
The left turning lane to 700 West from eastbound 9000 South will be closed. This closure is expected to last through Summer 2024. Traffic should use Sandy Parkway (450 West) as the detour route. Click here to see the recommended detour map.
This closure is necessary to ensure safety as there is insufficient room to install a left-turning lane.
Patrons to the River Oaks Driving Range may only enter and leave eastbound on 9000 South. Drivers should not drive into the work zone as hazards including significant drop-offs may be present. See the detour map below.
