GTC Long Range Transportation Plan 2050
GTC Long Range Transportation Plan 2050
The Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) is a 25-year plan that establishes transportation priorities for the nine county Genesee-Finger Lakes region. The LRTP provides the strategic direction for more detailed planning and implementation of specific transportation projects. In order to obtain federal transportation funding our region must have a long range transportation plan. The LRTP for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region 2050 (LRTP 2050) is currently under development and scheduled to be adopted in June 2026. Once complete, LRTP 2050 will be used by federal, state, and local governments to guide transportation investment decision making in our region.
Genesee Transportation Council will conduct the first round of public outreach to verify existing conditions and needs in Spring/Summer 2025. Another round of outreach will take place to seek comment on the draft recommendations. The Draft Plan will be available for a formal public review and comment in Spring 2026. The GTC Board will vote to adopt the Plan in June 2026.
