Phase 1 - Introductions and Listening

May 2023 - August 2023

King County is introducing this new park property to neighbors and community organizations. We are listening for what community priorities are for the new park via in person/virtual meetings and an online survey. We will learn the type of experiences you want in the park, and any concerns or challenges you want us to be aware of.

Phase 2 - Present Various Concept Designs

We will take input provided in Phase 1 and develop a series of different concept plans that will show various ways the park could be built in terms of trails, playground, shelters, and other park features.

King County will ask for public feedback and preferences on the different concept plans via in person/virtual events and an online survey.

We will begin design this year and hope to be starting construction late next year at the easrliest.

As part of King County's Land Conservation Initiative one overall goal of the park is to increase access to nature. A play meadow can be incorporated into the design, but not formal athletic facilities.
