Overview

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA), in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), to evaluate potential improvements to the South Cedar Interchange (Exit 57) of I-15 in Cedar City. This EA considers current and future transportation needs while taking into account any potential impacts to the natural and built environments.

This EA began in summer 2023 and is scheduled for completion in late 2024. View the "Schedule Tab" for more details.

Public Involvement during an Environmental Assessment

There are multiple opportunities for the public to be involved in an Environmental Assessment (EA). In addition to the two formal comment periods, UDOT has created specific communication channels to allow the public direct access to the team at any point throughout the study.
