Pioneer Crossing | I-15 to Redwood Road

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is improving Pioneer Crossing (SR-145) to help reduce rush-hour congestion between I-15 and Redwood Road (SR-68).

The main construction effort for this project will add capacity with Flex Lanes by converting the existing shoulders and center median into additional travel lanes. To learn more about Flex Lanes, go to the What are Flex Lanes? tab.

Other improvements nearing construction on Pioneer Crossing include:

  • Additional travel lanes in each direction between Mill Pond Road and I-15, providing a total of four travel lanes in each direction for this section.

  • Extending the outside travel lanes in each direction between Redwood Road and Mountain View Corridor, providing a total of three travel lanes in each direction for this section.

  • Lengthening existing turn-lane pockets and installing additional turn lanes at existing intersections.
