HELP US CREATE A CLIMATE ACTION PLAN FOR ALL
Are you worried about how climate change impacts the Baltimore region? BMC is leading a major project to create a Climate Action Plan for the Baltimore region.
We are dedicated to ensuring everyone—from local officials to community groups and residents—has a say in this plan.
To give everyone more time to share their thoughts, we’ve extended the deadline for feedback to Sunday, December 8. Your feedback is so important in shaping this project, and we hope this gives you a bit more flexibility to get involved.
Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a raffle for a $50 gift card.

AMTRAK HOSTS MEETINGS ON THE FREDERICK DOUGLASS TUNNEL
More than 150 years old, the Baltimore & Potomac (B&P) Tunnel dates from the Civil War era. It is also the largest bottleneck on the Northeast Corridor between Washington, D.C. and New Jersey.
The Frederick Douglass Tunnel Program is focused on replacing the old B&P Tunnel. The goal is to make train travel in the area faster, safer and more reliable.
Amtrak hosts community meetings in person and online. Everyone is welcome, and project staff will be there to share updates on traffic and construction and how the project is moving along. They will also be on hand to talk and listen to your thoughts.
The next public meetings are set for:
- Monday, November 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (Virtual)
- Wednesday, November 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Mount Royal Elementary/Middle School (121 McMechen St, Baltimore, MD 21217)

BE THE DRIVER THAT SAVES LIVES
Help keep our roadways safe by doing the following each and every time you hit the road:
- Stay alert; park the phone.
- Stop for people walking in crosswalks and intersections —it’s the law!
- Use caution when turning at intersections.
- Stop at stop signs and for school buses.
- Go the speed limit. Speeding makes it more difficult to stop unexpectedly.
- Enter and exit driveways slowly looking for people walking behind your vehicle.
- Allow 3 feet when passing bicyclists.
- Show courtesy to other drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
- Don't drive aggressively.
