What Is A Master Plan?
A Master Plan is a community-driven vision for the future of the town and serves as a roadmap of strategies and actions the town will use to achieve that vision. This community-created document ensures that future decisions made by our town boards, committees, and developers are aligned with the community’s priorities.

The purpose of this Existing Conditions Report is to provide a baseline understanding of Rye as a community in 2023. Analyzing the existing conditions of Rye today represents the first phase of the Master Plan writing process. This report will be used to guide and inform the planning team, and to engage the Master Plan Steering Committee and the public in conversations about planning for the future. It will be the main source of information used to inform community discussions and the basis for materials created to engage our community.
